Methods of working in groups with a high level of language training

Abstract

This article is devoted to the methods of teaching English in advanced level groups. The article aims to acquaint the reader with the practical experience of teaching adult learners who have substantial theoretical knowledge as well as practical skills of using the language in everyday life and business communication. Target audience peculiarities determine the methods of teaching the language, linguistic and pedagogical tools, suggest a system of teaching material selection. The article specifies approaches to identification of knowledge levels, ways of diagnosing of the so-called “problem areas”, and activities for thorough studying of the material.
