Abstract

In the modern socio-economic conditions, intellectual capital is considered as a strategic resource aimed at improving the competitiveness and sustainable economic development on foreign markets. The authors examine the role of intellectual capital (IC) in drawing up company’s external economic strategy, on the example of oil and gas industry. In the article, the assessment of intellectual capital of Russian oil and gas companies is presented. The influence of intellectual capital on company`s performance is analyzed. The strategic model of IC’s management of oil and gas companies is given.
