Given the development of trade and economic relations between Russia and China the exploration of possible ways to enter the foreign market with domestic goods, in particular the Chinese market, is justified. The positive and negative factors influencing the development of mutually beneficial trade relations should also be taken into account. Firstly, the authors give an overview of the difficulties in draft ing contract terms due to the differences in regulations; noting the need to take into consideration the differences in the applicable contract law. Secondly, they look into the parties’ approaches to the commercial terms of the contract. Thirdly, examination of different digital platforms offered by Chinese companies in terms of analysing ways in which they can expand Russia’s exports is made.
