Abstract

Anti-Russian economic sanctions infl uence various sectors of the economy, including the franchise market. However, Russian economists have not developed unifi ed approaches to analyzing the mechanism of such impact. Therefore, many Russian entrepreneurs fret about the risks associated with the changes in the franchise market structure. For this reason, they oft en refuse to expand their businesses through franchising. Based on the review of Russian and foreign literature, the article analyzes the mechanism of sanctions’ infl uence on the franchise market, particularly the structural changes. The paper proves that the sanctions crisis opens up opportunities for Russian entrepreneurs to expand their businesses. The study analyzes the countering of sanctions on the example of Russian franchise market and its results could be applied to the practices of companies to expand business and ensure its sustainability.
