Abstract

Anti-Russian economic sanctions influence various economic sectors, including franchise market. However, Russian economists have not developed unified approaches to analyze the mechanism of such influence. Russian entrepreneurs thus concern about the risks associated with transformation of franchise market structure. For this reason, Russian entrepreneurs often refuse to expand their businesses through franchising. The article focuses on the mechanism of sanctions’ influence on the franchise market and the transformation of franchise market’s structure associated with sanctions on the basis of Russian and foreign literature. The article proves that the sanctions crisis opens up opportunities for Russian entrepreneurs to expand their businesses. The study analyses the countering of sanctions on the example of Russian franchise market and the results of the study can be applied to business practices of the companies to expand their businesses and ensure their business’ sustainability.
