Abstract

Over the past 30 years, international tourism has continued to evolve and take different forms. The number of international tourist arrivals will continue to grow, according to the long-term forecast of the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), and will reach $ 1.8 billion by 2030.
Conventional methods of managing tourist destinations, such as advertising or industry fairs, have been intensively displaced. The authors believe that policymakers need to strengthen their core areas of expertise - Rules and regulations of the policy - and focus on long-term approaches to the development of tourism; to be ready to respond quickly to short-term changes and concentrate on their own key competitive advantages against other countries.
