Abstract

The article makes an assessment of the latest developments in the global energy market while the world economy was overcoming the economic crisis, suffering also from natural and technical disasters which happened in 2010 as well as in 2011. It analyzes trends in consumption and production of energy resources, price trends and some factors defining them. Special attention is paid to energy balances of individual countries in respect of oil, gas, coal, nuclear, hydroelectric energy as well as of other renewable sources.
