Abstract

International piggyback is a kind of combined transportation, when cars with goods pass part of the way by rail. This type of messaging is increasingly being introduced in Europe because of stricter environmental requirements and increasing road congestion. In our country piggyback has not yet been developed. Opportunities, prospects and scope of international piggyback in Russia are assessed.
