Abstract

In this article, the author draws attention to the fact that risk-takers and risk management department should cooperate to ensure a successful risk management process. This is especially important for foreign trade companies, as they may face extensive range of risks, but their risk-managers and the staff possessing information on the risks, are oft en located in different countries and time zones. The author considers the differences between micro-and macro risk management, their objectives and methods at all stages of the risk management process, as well as their interconnection, which allows to build an effective risk management system in foreign trade companies.
