Abstract

Choosing a contract party for the purchase of required foreign goods is one of the most difficult tasks to be solved by an import company. A set of necessary factors is taken into account, suppliers’ prices are compared with global market prices and the lowest price is identified. In addition, the delivery costs in today’s challenging environment, the quality of post–warranty support, and the supplier’s ability to provide necessary services also play a significant role. Methods, currency and terms of payment are also evaluated, as well as the ability of the seller to provide a trade credit at a reasonable rate of interest
