Abstract

The paper is devoted to the target system analysis of the nature and role of regional monitoring of systemically important companies. The article analyzes alternative definitions by different authors of such concepts as “monitoring”, “enterprise monitoring”, and “regional monitoring”. Based on systematization of the data obtained, the author’s definition of the concept “regional monitoring of a systemically important company” is given; the basic elements of such monitoring and its types from the perspective of resources are proposed. The author highlights the role of regional monitoring of systemically important companies, which consists in timely detection of specific external and internal factors that have a significant negative and positive impact on the operations of these companies.
