Abstract

Given the changing world order and sanctions, some emerging factors objectively contribute to Russia’s rapprochement with those regions that relatively recently were mainly in the sphere of interests of other global players. In particular, in recent years Russia has made a kind of breakthrough in relations with Latin America and the Caribbean: significant progress in bilateral and multilateral cooperation in almost all possible formats and in all areas, including economic cooperation and trade. This article examines Russia’s relations with the countries of Latin America and the Caribbean, and also highlights prospects for mutually beneficial cooperation.
