Russia’s exports of transportation services in contemporary conditions

Abstract

In the article, the author analyzes the current state of container segment of the global transport market, advantages and disadvantages of international transport corridors and their competitive influence on Russia’s transport infrastructure. The article identifies a number of areas, the development of which will contribute to promoting exports of transportation services of the Russian Federation and consolidate its positions on the global transport and logistics market. These areas include integration of the main network transport and logistics companies of the country and first of all Russian railways into the system of international alliances; fostering the cooperation of member countries of the Eurasian Economic Union on the issues of letting down the bars on the common market of transportation services; the development of ferrying in general and ferry lines of the Azov and Black Sea area towards the Crimea and also Romanian and Bulgarian ports with the aim of switching the transit freight flow over to the Crimean direction.
