Abstract

The paper provides a defi nition of the International Federation of Freight Forwarders Associations in respect of forwarding and logistics services and defi nes the role, place and value of freight forwarding in international and national goods movement. Goals and objectives of international freight brokering are set. The authors identify problems in the functioning of the Russian market of forwarding services and consider and review draft amendments to the Law "On the forwarding activities" submitted by the Association of Russian Forwarders. The conclusions about the necessary regulators of the market of international and national freight forwarding services are made.
