Abstract

The article is devoted to the study of destinations and structure of India’s export and import container cargo flows, trade routes and container line services in the region, and container stevedoring business in India. Particular attention is paid to the historical background of Indian export and Asian liner container shipping development. The comparative analysis of the statistical data on container cargo handling in Indian sea ports and capacity utilization of container terminals is carried out. The consideration of overseas and overland transportation aspects between Russia and India in foreign trade operations is presented.
