Abstract

This article analyzes the WTO Initiative “Aid for Trade”, launched at the 6th Ministerial Conference of WTO in Hong Kong in 2005. As world trade is an engine of foreign assistance and is important for the development of developing countries, this WTO Initiative assists their integration, especially of the least developed countries, into the global economy. Thus, the promotion of trade could solve the problem of the assistance of economic growth and sustainable development of developing countries. The author highlights the content of “Aid for trade”, considers the structure of such aid and the dynamics of its development.
