Abstract

In the article, the author considers and analyzes the continuing structural reform in the national railway industry of Russia, which impacts not only internal business relationships, but also international shipping. The effects of certain structural changes in the natural monopoly market,
to which the rail transport infrastructure belong, are evaluated. Among such transformations are the following: the change in the ownership structure of the rolling stock, a possibility for several rail carriers to operate on the market, changes in the structure of the railway industry governance .
