Abstract

The article deals with the role of Russia on the world automotive market, the current state of the Russian automotive market and its short-term development prospects. The author lays emphasis on the structure of passenger car and commercial vehicle sales by brands and origin.
The article shows the world and Russia’s automotive production and sales figures, and defines the reasons and consequences of the crisis on the Russian automotive market.
