Abstract

In the article, the author considers the main factors in the evolution of devolpment and use in the industrialized countries of renewable energy sources: wind energy, solar, nuclear, tidal energy, geothermal energy, shale gas. The value of certain types of energy development basing on the
data of the International Energy Agency are correlated and compared with the cost of shale gas. A review of the state of shale gas and the use of wind energy in several countries, particularly in the U.S., Denmark, Germany, France, is given. The issue of the localization of solar converters
production in Russia is considered.
