Need of increase of the Russian machinery competitiveness on the global market

Abstract

The article represents an analysis of the current state of the Russian mechanical engineering and its impact on the Russian exports structure taking into account the Export strategy of the Russian Federation until 2030. The author raises an issue of foreign investors and components suppliers involvement into Russian machinery manufacturing processes. Given the importance of international production cooperation the author highlights potential risks of such cooperation with foreign economic entities for the Russian economy and indicates the need to implement a large-scale policy of imports substitution in machinery production.
