Abstract

The authors have identified the following challenges to the sustained operation of the Russian market of international freight forwarding and transport and logistics services: the lack of official statistics about the real state of the market and its participants, uncertain market capacity of international and domestic freight forwarding services, the absence of barriers to entry and exit in the market (including, for non-residents); the lack of effective organizational, legal and institutional market regulators; low professional level of market participants. The authors have identified priority measures and priorities for the development of the domestic market of international freight forwarding services to support local traders and facilitate development of the Russian exports of transport and logistics services.
