Abstract

The paper shows the main directions of state regulation of trade and industry and defines the principles of state policy. The main objective of the article is to examine the impact of an import substitution policy on the availability of food resources in the country. The author notes that the state policy of income redistribution takes into account the national, social, environmental, and other features of development of the country. Accordingly, it is necessary to provide a comprehensive state approach to the regulation of trading activities. The situation on the food market is complex, and it might be fundamentally changed only through implementation of an import substitution policy. In order to solve this problem, particular problems in the food market should be addressed. The article defines the objectives of trade under import substitution.
