Abstract

The article gives the analysis of the investment cooperation between Russia and the European Union under the circumstances of the European debt crisis. The author analyses the dynamics of the development of the European debt crisis, points out its core sources and pays attention to the conditions of the investment cooperation with the countries which foremost suffered from the crisis especially with Cyprus – the favorite Russian offshore zone. The article concludes that it is extremely important for the Russian Federation to look for new sources of long-term foreign investments to deal with the problem of stagnating economy.
