Abstract

The Russian Federation has been a member of the WTO (including dispute settlement mechanism) since 22 August 2012. The Russian Federation has participated in 26 trade disputes in the WTO. This research provides a review of the WTO dispute settlement mechanism and an analysis of the trade disputes database, including Russia’s participation as complainant, respondent or third party. This research shows the main subjects and sectors that in most cases incite the Russian Federation to participate in disputes as complainant, respondent or third party.
