Abstract

The article analyzes the current state of branches of Russian fuel and energy complex, as well as a description of their development. The study examines the main characteristics of the market each sector separately, including an assessment of the market volume and forecast of its development. In the coming 2015, Russia will consistently strengthen our position in the global energy market, responding to the complex challenges that will be put in front of her large-scale changes taking place now in the global energy sector. These include, in particular, the slowdown in energy consumption in the world, and particularly in the European Union, the increased competition in the international oil and gas markets due to increased volumes of their production from unconventional sources, the growing role of renewable energy in the global energy balance and decrease due to this demand for fossil fuels, especially oil.
