Features of Swizerland’s industrial policy: support for innovation

Abstract

The article is devoted to the analysis of foreign experience in the field of state support for innovation. Industrial policy of Switzerland, a recognized European leader in the development of innovative industries, is the object of the research. The author considers the institutional infrastructure of the support for innovation, specific measures to stimulate innovation activities of enterprises and technology transfer between science and industry. Besides, the relationship between industrial policy and the objectives of ensuring the competitiveness of Switzerland’s export-orientated economy is revealed. Given the flaws in the Russia’s national innovation system, the directions for the application of Switzerland’s experience on the basis of the received data are suggested.
