Abstract

The article briefly studies the agriculture industry in Russia and the dynamics of investment in the industry prior to Russia’s entry into the World Trade Organization. Based on the analysis, the author makes predictions about the impact of Russia's accession to the WTO on the agricultural
sector of the Russian Federation. The article presents data on government support for the agricultural sector.
