Abstract

This article is devoted to the use of video at the English lesson which contributes to developing the communicative competence of students. One of the most frequently used methods of teaching English is watching TV news at the lesson. But the most effective technique seems to be the use of videocourses based on case-study methodology. Videocourses do not only develop listening skills, but also the three other basic skills: speaking, reading and writing.
