Abstract

The article examines the emergence and formation of a new segment of innovative activities of scientific and industrial organizations in the global economy and with the ongoing efforts resulting in the development of artificial intelligence. The key promising areas of AI development are identified. The authors assess the impact of artificial intelligence on international trade, focus on its use in production and sales cooperation and in global production chains, as well as in the creation and operation of digital trading platforms. Besides, the need to develop common standards and common approaches to the protection of intellectual property is noted.
