Abstract

The article provides an assessment of tendencies, structural shift s and problems pertaining to development of Vietnam’s foreign trade over the last two decades. In the focuse are changes in commodity and geographical structure of foreign trade, reasons for growing country’s trade balance deficit. Special attention is paid to specific features, limitations and prospects of bilateral Vietnam and Russia trade and economic cooperation, inclusive of aspects of mutual trade liberalization.
