The evolution of government support for exports in France in the last decade has affected both institutions and tools for promoting national exports. In particular, specialized institutions have been created that apply financial and non-financial support measures within the limits permitted by membership in the EU, WTO, OECD. The decline in export volumes and the change in its geographical and commodity structure due to the COVID-19 pandemic forced the government to take additional support measures. The implementation of the Plan for the support of French exporters, adopted in 2020, produced certain positive results against the background of some improvement in the country’s economic situation and growth in economic activity in the world.
