Issues and Suggestions on Improving Cross-Border E-Commerce Regulation in EAEU and Russia

Electronic commerce now is an integral part of any modern person’s life. Th e article describes in detail the systems of regulation of cross-border electronic commerce in the Russian Federation and the Eurasian Economic Union. Th e analysis revealed shortcomings in the regulation of cross-border e-commerce in the legislative framework in the Russian Federation and the EAEU. Th e authors managed to consider and analyze the international treaties USMCA (Agreement of the USA, Mexico and Canada) and the CPTPP (Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for the Trans-Pacifi c Partnership), the systems of regulation of cross-border e-commerce of the USA and China, as well as their experience and methods of e-commerce development. Based on the collected data, the authors provide suggestions on improving the legislative framework of both the EAEU and Russia.
