Abstract

With its huge oil reserves, especially the offshore fields, acknowledgement of Brazil as a major oil exporter is an important milestone for the global oil market. The study of Brazil’s oil exports will allow to analyze the geopolitical implications and influence of Brazil on the world energy system. In the present article, an analytical study on the dynamics and structure of crude oil exports from Brazil in 2000-2023 is carried out. Using statistical analysis methods, the main indicators reflecting the changes in Brazil’s oil exports over this period are examined. Furthermore, the paper identifies the factors that influence the volume of exports, and a correlation-regression model of exports is constructed. As a result, it is concluded that Brazil’s oil exports may increase in the near future.
