Seaborne leg turns out to be a key pillar sustaining ‘new logistics’ of Russia’s foreign trade. As of today, shipments could be effected to almost all major ports worldwide, incl. that from ‘unfriendly states’. Given sanctions regime of the West (as of June 2024 EU has introduced a 14th package of sanctions with serious limitations put on maritime sector) the market has seen a substitution of linear majors by less familiar to shippers carriers. Thus, the paper has put the E-Shipping case to the front and identified key induced stumbling points. The authors end up with practical outcomes on how to avoid typical problems in future.
