Latin American theme at the 2024 World Economic Forum: key economic trends in the region.

Abstract

Discussions on Latin America at the panel sessions of the World Economic Forum in Davos in 2024 highlight the main trends in the region’s current development: the focus of national governments primarily on solving domestic social and economic problems, including through the participation of extraregional actors, taking into account the high level of involvement of Latin American states in the world trading system; the interest of the world in resources of the region to address energy and food security; the dependence of Latin American governments' economic policies on their political orientation.
