Abstract

The article examines the main stages of the emergence and development of business education in the global economy, analyzes the theoretical foundations of this area of higher administrative personnel training. Serious attention is paid to expanding the practice of business education in Russia. A new stage of business education has become training in DBA programs - "Doctor of Business Administration". An important feature of the program is to ensure a close connection between scientific research and practical experience. The article describes in detail the directions of the program and compares it with PhD programs. One of the ways of research is the analysis of the Doctor of Business Administration program in Russia. The pioneering role of the RANEPA Graduate School of Corporate Governance in the development and implementation of the program in the Russian business education system is noted.
