At present, agriculture production in the Russian Federation shows positive growth. But this trend implying development of agricultural infrastructure, higher profitability, and bigger involvement of small and medium agriculture producers and farmers in the whole state system of food production oriented for both inner and external markets is subject to attracting additional resources. The objectives in question could be achieved by wider cooperation of the government and private sector in the form of public-private partnerships (PPPs), including participation of foreign investors. In many developing countries PPPs proved its practical efficiency in the field of sustainable agricultural development and became an important prerequisite of the food security.
