Abstract

The author reviews and analyzes the main changes made in Incoterms 2020 compared to the previous edition. Th e author focuses on the changes with an obvious impact on conclusion and execution of international sales contracts. Particular attention is paid to the issues of transportation and logistics as well as of international trade paperwork. Th e author comments on the possibilities to confi rm the delivery of goods under FCA with on-board bills of lading, domestic and international delivery of goods by one’s own facilities not resorting to carriers, the consequences of changing the level of insurance coverage under CIP, the renaming of DAT term to DPU and new obligations and expenses of the parties in international container shipping.
