Abstract

The present article describes different aspects of the development of international organic food market. The experiences of Brazil, India and China in the development of the organic area in terms of diversification of Russia’s agriculture exports are analyzed. Under the doctrine of Russia’s food security, the development of export-oriented production in Russia seams relevant as 90% of Russia’s domestic demand for organic food is met by imports. Since Russia, India and China are the members of the informal intergovernmental organization BRICS, the article outlines possible directions of cooperation within the BRICS in elaborating common approaches to the regulation of organic food production and trade.
