Abstract

The article examines the performance of priority development areas in the Russian Far East and the free port of Vladivostok, analyzes their indicators. The study reveals the difficulties with the indicators used the Ministry of Development of the Russian Far East and offered by the Government of the Russian Federation for assessment of the territories. The author makes a comparative analysis of the government institutions’ reported results and the data about the residents available from the Unified State Register of Legal Entities. The paper focuses on mismatches between officially reported data about the performance of priority development areas in the Russian Far East and the free port of Vladivostok and scenarios of their elimination.
