Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic, tense geopolitical situation, economic crises in a number of countries, and global economic stagnation have all jeopardized progress in achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goal 4. The adopted national education strategies and the quantitative indicators designed to monitor progress played a particular role in achieving the qualitative indicators. New digital technologies that are used in education are becoming particularly relevant under current conditions. They significantly facilitate the growth of educational services exports – the area that serves as a driver of the global education agenda. Student exchange programs and educational platforms, along with significant investments in the development and improvement of infrastructure as part of the international trade activity foster integrative improvement of the country’s competitiveness in the global educational services market.
