Abstract

The authors reveal the role of inbound and outbound tourism in the development of international trade in services; show the structure of trade in services in the world economy and growth rates of exports of certain types of services. Special attention is paid to the analysis of the factors of development of international tourism, highlighting the growing importance of innovative tourism. The authors evaluate the effect of the increase in per capita income for the development of outbound tourism with calculations of certain impact for particular countries. Besides, the differences in the expenses of tourist arrivals in recreational areas in individual countries are highlighted.
