Abstract

The paper analyzes how various types of factors impact structural changes in retail trade in the Republic of Korea. The analysis is carried out from the perspective of supplier and consumer. The retail market is a combined structure that comprises various forms of supply and demand. Hence, the paper considers both universal retail trade and telecommunication forms of trade that relate to the modes of supply of food products and essential goods. Besides, the paper focuses on several factors such as technological advances and social changes, etc., their effects on suppliers and consumers, in order to better demonstrate the reasons for the current state of retail trade in the Republic of Korea.
