Liability insurance for international freight forwarder: rules and the problem of obtaining insurance reimbursement

Abstract

Problems of Russian Forwarders’ Liability Insurance are analysed in this article on the example of specific documents of insurance companies providing services for the organization of national and international transport of goods. The authors explain why insurance companies use various tricks for denying insurance claims. Recommendations on how to protect their rights and property interests are given to cargo owners. Problems of modernization of the Russian legislation in the field of insurance and freight forwarding are discussed.
