Abstract

The relevance of the topic is determined by the reshaping of the world economy due to the green transformation. In the article, the fourth energy transition is considered in terms of economic and political components and their interactions. The countries have committed themselves to achieving carbon neutrality after the ratification of the UN Paris Agreement on Climate. Analyzing the volume of necessary investments in the green transformation, its political aspects, the economic feasibility of renewable energy as a key element of the energy transition, the author considers renewable energy as a tool to address one of the main global economic challenges.
