Recent Trends in the U.S. Industrial Development

Abstract

In the article the author attempts to analyze the current conditions and prospects of the U.S. industry, which has been suff ering decline over the last two decades. The various factors that infl uence the U.S. industry are studied, particularly labor costs, innovations, industrial policy, tax regulation, energy resources and foreign trade. The author gives special attention to the reindustrialization initiatives of the U.S. Government and the U.S.-Russia trade in manufactured goods.
