Abstract

In the article, the authors consider the Internet as a market for procurement transactions; show the conditions necessary for the introduction of e-commerce into the Russian commodity markets; analyze various models of procurement through the Internet; identify the advantages of e–commerce over traditional commerce, and also consider examples of the use of national e–procurement systems in projects financed by the World Bank, and indicators in the field of e–procurement in Italy in view of “The new procurement framework document”.
