Abstract

The relevance of the study of trade and economic relations between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Serbia is dictated by the need to review the existing model of cooperation between the countries, taking into account geopolitical tensions. The article defines the role of Serbia as a key partner of Russia in the Southeastern Europe region, which is also a conduit to the EU market. The main problems faced by Russian and Serbian businesses in the markets of the two countries in the context of foreign policy changes are presented. The current situation of contractual relations between Russia and Serbia in the field of trade and economic cooperation is reflected. Possible directions of interaction are demonstrated, taking into account the strengthening of sanctions restrictions.
