Technology upgrade in the economic development of the country

Abstract

The author analyzes the essence of modernization, its characteristics and features; the role of using foreign technology for the realization of strategies and modernizations is covered. Special attention is given to the role of foreign technology in post-war growth of economy in foreign countries. The author makes a conclusion about the necessity of expansion of importing licenses and technology to Russia, criticizes supporters of the theory that relies only on a country’s own forces in economic development.
