Abstract

The article deals with new and promising areas of Russia’s participation in trade in services. Emphasis is made on exports of high-tech and intellectual services, i.e. analysis of trends and opportunities in this field, relevant political and state support measures with the purpose of further export expansion. The structure of respective services exports given herein suggests predominance of professional services and management consulting services, engineering, technical and computer services. Prospects for export growth in the IT industry services are also reviewed. The article presents an assessment of dynamics and volumes of Russia’s high-tech and intellectual services exports till 2020 and specifies target regional markets for export development.
