Globalization of the US economy: scope, achievements, challenges

The article considers the magnitude and direction of globalization of the world economy and the US economy in the second decade of the 21st century. The author identifies their core processes, in particular the increase in scope and importance of foreign trade, expansion of labour migration, capital exports, increasing economic integration. Thorough review of the economic globalization factors, in particular the scientific and technical progress, the state economic policy, the activities of multinational corporations abroad, as well as its positive and negative effects, including those associated with the global financial and economic crisis, is carried out. Special attention is paid to the analysis of the US position in the world economy and world economic relations, the prospects for the preservation of their economic leadership.
